More info: The new grant agreement for FP7 brings with it changes concerning the responsibilities of coordinators and participants, revisions to IPR terms, and clarifications concerning the involvement of third parties. New elements include a financial guarantee fund, certification of methodologies for overhead calculation and average personnel costs, and technical reviews.  This workshop will describe the main terms of the grant agreement and explain the thinking behind them. It will focus on the Cooperation Programme, and explore the implications for the consortium agreement.  The workshop is aimed at contracts officers in organisations participating in the EU Research Framework Programme. It is also suitable for project managers and professional advisors working on these projects. More info: For some years now the Canon XL range of camcorders (XL1, XL1s, XL2 and now the High Definition XL H1) have been known as THE camera for wildlife film-makers working the miniDV format. The 3CCD picture quality, accessories and functionality, and ability to change lenses (plus use ordinary SLR camera lenses using adaptors) make the Canon XL a clear favourite. This weekend is aimed at those who already have a Canon XL camera and wish to explore its features in more depth, and try a variety of attachments and ancillary equipment to help with purchase decisions. It also provides an introduction to the Canon XL H1 for those who may upgrade in the future. The weekend is also suitable for those planning to buy a Canon XL (whether secondhand or new) who wish to learn more about the camera and what to look for when choosing equipment to buy. The course is split into workshops exploring various aspects of Canon XL use: wide angle, telephoto, macro, scopes, sound recording, underwater use and high definition. It is taught by Mike Linley who has a great deal of experience using Canon XL cameras whilst making professional wildlife films, Simon Beer from Production Gear Ltd. and Dave Knott.

They consist of an activity based day in a relaxed atmosphere employing quizzes, role playing, model making sessions, case studies and scenario discussions.  Lynn Cox is an established freelance Disability Equality Trainer and an artist.  She has worked with major disability and arts organisations including Shape, the Serpentine Gallery and the Art House. Individual artists and those who administer and manage cultural organisations are encouraged to learn the modern concepts and the latest requirements of Disability Access. For that specific audience Lynn has developed a series of accessible training sessions. These sessions will inform and help individuals gain confidence to fulfil their potential, to recognise the requirements of disabled/visually impaired people and to ensure those requirements are met.  The training sessions will be held at Pocklington Resource Centre, 1C Yukon Road, London SW12 9PZ at 10:30am to 4:30pm.
