Two types of projects can be submitted under this programme and differ in terms of the budget: 1) Event projects - budget based on flat rate system 2) Production and realisation costs - detailed budget outline required and 60% of eligible budget can be funded through the Europe for Citizens Programme |

The European Remembrance Action funds projects commemorating the legacy of Nazism and Stalinism through a variety of activities. Projects in this strand could include film documentation of witnesses of the times of terror, recorded by young film students.

The Europe for Citizens Programme particularly aims at the engagement and involvement of the Citizens in Europe. The programmme has a variety of priorties linked to European issues. A set of five annual and five permanent priority themes of the programme must be considered when putting together an application (such as intercultural dialogue, the future of the EU, participating in democracy etc).The European Remembrance Action supports two different types of projects: 1) ‘Event projects’: conferences; seminars; colloquia; workshops, debates; hearings; meetings; training activities; socio-cultural activities.2) ‘Production and realisation’ projects: publications; websites; TV/radio broadcasts; production of audio-visual material; opinion polls; studies;analysis; production of education and training materials; application of newinformation technologies. Projects do not need a partnership with another European country but it is important to integrate a European audience in your project. The project activities may last up to 12 months.
