East-West Europe cultural co-operation and dialogue...
9-10 May 2007 - Tate Modern, London
MayFair II sees cultural representatives from the 12 newest EU countries and 2 candidate countries converge in the UK to exchange knowledge and to network. The event launches fittingly on Europe Day.

May Fair II is organised by EUCLID, the UK's leading agency for European information and knowledge for the cultural sector - EUCLID is the official "UK Cultural Contact Point" for the European Commission in the UK and also provides international information services for Arts Council England. EUCLID successfully organised the first MayFair event in May 2004 in Manchester. Three years on, and with a further two member states, and others queuing up to join, the timing is right for MayFair II.
The two day event will begin and end with presentations highlighting the importance and potential of European cultural co-operation between the UK and these countries. In between, delegates can participate in a series of 6 workshop groups where representatives from 2-3 countries will give short presentations and then there will be opportunities to question, to network and to start to explore links for future co-operation and exchange. The structure of the workshops over the two days (see below) will enable all delegates to hear the presentations from all 14 countries.
In addition, delegates will be invited to a reception, also at Tate Modern, on the evening of 9 May to celebrate Europe Day,
